31 Weeks and Grandparent Visit!

Hey there, Baby Girl, we are 31 weeks today!  Because I am terrible at remembering to take bump pictures (and especially because I am trying not to take bump pictures when I am in sweaty exercise clothes), I pleasantly surprised myself by making Daddy take a picture of me in a parking lot after Big Brother's Meet the Teacher day.  Here we are, so close to your big debut!

Can't believe we're over 30 weeks already!

We're slowly getting ready for your arrival, although you remind us every day with your crazy ninja kicks that you will be here soon!  Daddy's is going to get your closet set up for all your clothes, which is the last big thing we need finish.  Also, Mimi and Pop-Pop came down for a visit and Mimi has been busy making you some beautiful items!

It's been hard trying to find rocking horse stuff for you to fit your room theme, so Mimi made you this amazing quilt (by hand...isn't it gorgeous?) and afghan.  So pretty!  She's also made you lots of headbands, a tag blanket, and a super soft bunny to cuddle.  You're not going to be spoiled at all with such doting grandparents.  ;)  You are already so loved!

Baby Dolls and 30 Weeks

Well, Baby Girl, we had our 30 week appointment today.  Time is definitely flying!  Everything is measuring well and your heartbeat was a strong 155 bpm.  Soon you'll be ready to join our family!

Big brother is definitely ready for you to come live with us.  Following his big sibling class, he decided he wanted a baby sister doll so that he could practice helping take care of you.  He's so sweet and (mostly) gentle.  I know he's going to be an amazing big brother and, one day, an amazing father, just like your Daddy! 

He's very concerned with feeding you, reading you stories, and you changing your diaper.  We're so lucky to have such helpful little boy here to help us once you arrive, little one!

Class Time!

Well, Baby Girl, it's all getting very serious now.  We've officially reached the "class time" portion of the pregnancy.  Not only did Daddy and I take our Childbirth Refresher course this week, but Big Brother was able to take a sibling class!  He is now even more excited (and prepared) for your arrival!

As for Momma and Daddy's class, I will say that it helped remind us of everything that is coming!  It's all starting to come back to us now.  Honestly, it was very nice to just take an evening together to focus on you and this pregnancy.  Your brother keeps us so busy, we sometimes forget how quickly you are coming and how much things will change.  It will be an adjustment, but we also know how wonderful it will be to have you here to complete our family.

Bump! 28 1/2 Week Edition

Finally remember to take a bump picture when Daddy and I were heading out the door for a fun night with friends.  It's always nicer to take a picture when I am actually cleaned up and dressed nicely!  A rare occasion for sure, but definitely worth documenting!

28 Weeks!

Everything is definitely getting real, Baby Girl!  It's been a busy week.  Because I am staying home this week to work with your big brother on potty training (hoping for only one set of diapers come October--yours!) it's given me a chance to work on getting ready for your arrival.  First stop, your wardrobe!  You are quite set with clothes thanks to hand-me-downs from big brother and the generosity of your Texas aunties.  Daddy can't believe how many clothes you have!  I warned him, it's only the beginning!

Next up was my 28 week OBGYN appointment, which included my 1 hour glucose test.  Not a fun one to take, but necessary, and I am glad to say we passed!

Not tasty, but at least it's over!

We now switch to twice a week appointments and I have to go get a RhoGAM shot on Monday.  I'm going to blink and we're going to be weekly appointments soon!

A Place of Your Own!

As promised, we started to get serious about your room!  It's all painted now and we're starting to set up the things you will need.  It's pink, cream, and brown.  I like it, though it is a bit pinker than I imagined!  Daddy promises me that once we put stuff on the walls, it will break up the pink a bit. 

Crib is all made up and ready to go!  Not that you'll need it for awhile!

Still several more important things to do, including setting up a closet organizer and finding you a dresser.  You have a lot of clothes already that need stored!  Plus we need to do valances and some wall art.  It is shaping us quite nicely, though, and making the thought of your arrival more real!
