It's a...

GIRL!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it!  When Daddy and I opened the envelope to find out, I couldn't stop crying.  We are so excited to meet you...our daughter!  Little Buddy just smiled and told me "Baby Guuurl".  He wasn't surprised; he knew all along.  Your grandparents and the rest of our family are over the moon.  We are so in love with you already.

It's a girl!

Little Buddy can't wait for his Little Sister to arrive!

Daddy's still a little in shock.  He's already cleaning his shotgun to keep all the boys away!

I wondered when you would get your first blanket.  Turns out Mimi made one last spring and put it away for her first granddaughter.  You are already so loved!

I am off to tell my dear friends, all your Texas Aunties, the news.  They will be so excited to meet you!

Love you my daughter,

Momma

Drumroll Please...

Today was our gender determining ultrasound!  Daddy, Little Buddy, and I are so excited to see you again and know more about you.  I have no clue if you are a boy or a girl, but both Daddy and Little Buddy seem to think you are a girl.  We are excited either way, as long as you are healthy and happy in there.

Before taking Little Buddy to school, I asked him if you were a boy or a girl.  His response?  "Momma, baby belly, no penis."  I couldn't help but laugh!  I guess we will see if he is right!

We want to find out with Little Buddy, so we got the result sealed in an envelope and will open it with him at dinner tonight.  I can't wait!  I was also happy to hear that you are still growing healthy and strong!

Growing so big!

Wonder what's inside?!

Daddy is taking the wait in stride.  We actually had a nice morning running errands after the doctor appointment.  At lunch, we found these two fortunes in our fortune cookies.  I wonder what they mean!

See you soon!

Getting Bumpy!

Just a quick picture before I head out to attend a Taylor Swift concert with some of my friends.  I'm into week 17 and I'm already showing a little bump.  You are definitely showing a lot earlier than your brother!  I don't think he popped out until about 24 weeks.  Oh well, considering that you are my second baby and I had to take 4 weeks off of working out, I guess I can deal with a little bump already.  :)

This isn't a true bump picture, you can't see the bump too well in a dress, but it's nice to know you're there.

Love you,

Momma

World Traveler

Goodness Little One, you've already accumulated quite the amount of frequent flier miles.  Besides going to Florida with me in February, you also traveled with us to Philadelphia this month!  We went on a great family vacation once my school semester ended.

Oh the semester.  Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but I was slammed trying to finish end of year projects and papers.  I was so ready to celebrate some freedom from classes on our trip.

Philadelphia was wonderful!  Your big brother had an amazing time.

We started the week off by watching the races at Dad Vail Regatta.  Momma used to race here in college and it was very special to share this Daddy and Little Buddy.  Can't wait to bring you!

We spent the next day checking out historical places, like Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.  Your Daddy and I are history nerds, and we hope to share our love for history with you and your brother!

Our next destination was the Please Touch Museum, one of the best Children's Museums in the country.  Little Buddy had a great time there!

Sunday was Mothers' Day, and I could think of no better way to spend it than with our family at Sesame Place.  It was wonderful!  Your brother met his hero, Super Grover, and we are already making plans to take you back with us in a few years.

Our next excursion was the zoo.  Little Buddy loved that too!  Their big cats exhibit was particularly good, especially because your brother's favorite animal is a tiger.

We spent our last day taking a tour of the city on a double decker bus, eating cheesesteaks (they certainly didn't seem to bother you!), and enjoying a Phillies game (they played the Indians, Momma's Ohio home team).

Our vacation ended on Wednesday and we flew back to Houston.  Little Buddy had a good flight, although he was so worn out, Daddy had to carry him off the plane and to the car (actually this happened quite a bit on the trip!).

Oh Little One, it was such a great family vacation.  We cannot wait for you to join us for our next one!  Also, now that we are back, we have less than a week until we find out if you are a little boy or a little girl.  We're excited to see you again!

Love you,

Momma
