Wait, It's the Third Trimester Already? When Did That Happen?!?!

Well, Baby Girl, we are 27 weeks today.  Third trimester and only 10-13 weeks away from meeting you!  That is both exciting and scary as we aren't ready yet!  So much still to do!  Taking a cue from the date, we decided to get serious about your room today.  Big Brother was a big help when it came to painting!

Sprinkle Surprises!

Oh my goodness, baby girl, did we get a surprise tonight!  Your dear Texas aunties pulled one over on your momma and surprised me (as well as Ms. E and Ms. M) with a Sprinkle for you and your soon-to-arrive buddies at our mani/pedi Mom's Night (which I thought was a goodbye party for my dear friend, Ms. C.  At least she's moving back to NE Ohio!).  I was shocked and touched by their lovely gesture.  It means so much to me to have such an amazing Texas family and for you to already be loved by so many wonderful people.

26 1/2 Weeks!

Can't believe we are rounding out the end of the second trimester, Baby Girl!  I've been neglectful of bump pics lately, so I quickly had Daddy snap this one before heading to our friend, Ms. B's, baby shower (for another upcoming girl!).

Everything is still going well, I'm just very, very tired.  Hard to be pregnant and chasing a toddler and writing a proposal!  Poor baby girl, you're just being born into a family of overachievers.  My only other concern right now is my belly button.  You don't know this yet, sweet girl, but belly buttons weird me out.  What weirds me out more is the fact that belly buttons can pop out when you're pregnant!  Eeek!  I was very lucky with your big brother in that my button came close, but never actually popped.  It's still an "innie" right now, but I have at least 11 weeks left so I'm worried it will be an "outie" at some point!  See if you can help me keep it in, ok?  Pretty please?

Meeting the Family

Hello Baby Girl!

Your Uncle J, Aunt Sarah, and Cousin T came to visit this weekend on their way to their new home in Arizona.  I can't wait until you arrive so we can go visit them!  Big brother had a lot of fun with his cousin, and I know you will too! 

Although big brother did have to work a little bit on sharing his toys, he did...

Only 16 Weeks Left!

Just finished our 24 week OBGYN appointment.  Crazy to believe we are only 16 weeks out from our due date!  The appointment went well and the doctor agreed that we need to do another ultrasound at 36 weeks so we can closely estimate your size, baby girl!  Since your brother was 8 lbs., 3 oz. when he was born at 37 weeks, we definitely want to be ready for when you arrive! 

I've also started making some other preparations for your arrival.  We've ordered your photo albums (I picked the lilac ones) and I've started work on your maternity album.  Still need to order some picture copies for your baby book too!

23 Weeks!

Ok, so maybe it's more like 23.5 weeks, but we've been a bit busy around here!

Bump with brother!

Today we signed all of our paperwork to preregister at the hospital for your labor and delivery, baby girl!  At 23 weeks, it's crazy to believe that you could be here in 17 weeks (or 14 like your brother!).  It's getting more real; we even bought sheets for your crib!  Your nursery is coming along nicely.  We actually need to get a lot of it set up because your cousin Tristan (along with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Jeremy) will be here for a visit next week.  Tristan will try out your bed and make sure it's cozy for you!

I've started wondering if this pregnancy is more difficult than your brother's was.  Sometimes you sit in such a way in my belly that I get very uncomfortable!  I don't remember being so uncomfortable my first pregnancy, but then I realize that, when I didn't feel well, I just laid down and napped!  Little Buddy certainly doesn't really give me the opportunity to rest when you make me feel tired!  I will say I am on my feet much more this time around, since I have to chase your brother.  That's probably also why this pregnancy seems to be going to fast!
